Topic 1: This week we begin writing a proposal for a course project due in Week 7. Our text suggests that writing is a process, which for many writers, begins with planning and research. Compare and contrast your own writing process to that described on pages 4-10. Review the tutorial in this week's lecture on using the library databases and locate a source to compose the "Defining a Problem" assignment. Tell us what source your found and why you regard it as a reliable source. Did it come from a peer-reviewed journal? Was it written by someone with a terminal degree? Does it have references?
