    Narrative Speeches Self Reflection

After giving your speech in class (Zoom delivery), answer the following questions in detail (a yes or no answer will not work! Please feel free to use your textbook to support your answer):

**If your Zoom session did not record - do the best you can with "how you think you did" :-)

    ·         Did your speaking outline aid in your delivery?

    ·         Did you fulfill all the major functions of a speech introduction and conclusion? (Remember - An introduction should gain the attention of the audience, give the audience a reason to listen, clearly identifies the topic, establishes credibility, and preview the main ideas. Conclusions are critical to any speech and affords a speaker to reemphasize the central idea in a memorable way and provide closure to a speech. A speaker should connect the conclusion to the introduction.)

    ·         Did you tell us your name within the introduction?  If you said your name and  "I am going to tell you about..." before moving into your introduction, what happened to your introduction?  What (if anything) will you do differently next time?

    ·         Were the main points of the body clear and easy to follow?

    ·         Was your speech appropriate and adapted to the audience?

    ·         Did you use transitions effectively?

    ·         What were you most pleased with in the speech?  What were you least pleased with?

    ·         Which speech would you like me to grade and why (Zoom hangout or the one pre recorded)

Remember - I don't want you to add the following:

    ·         your name

    ·         my name

    ·         class name

    ·         date

    ·         questions

Self evaluations must be uploaded to the dropbox by the set due date within Canvas
**Self Evaluations must be two complete pages (not counting the classmates' speeches overview and the process overview!)double spaced using 12 pitch, Times New Roman font with one inch margins. Don’t rewrite my questions or number your responses.

    Classmates’ speeches

Answer the following questions regarding your classmate's speeches:

    ·         Did they say their name in a creative way

    ·         What were the main points of the speech.
