1. What makes the main character in your chosen novel rounded, complex, and dynamic?

2. Is there a stereotypical character or characters in the novel? What qualifies the character(s) as stereotypical?

3. How important is the setting in your chosen novel to its meaning? Explain.

4. Discuss a possible theme for your chosen novel. A theme is a complete statement of the idea you think the author is trying to convey in writing his or her novel. (For example, a theme for Frankenstein might be that a disregard for the possible outcomes in scientific experimentation can result in horrific physical, mental, and emotional consequences.) Then, explain what in the novel supports your theme.
