2.    Make a note about the first time you ever felt culturally different. What were your feelings and thoughts?

3.    Identify one cross-cultural experience that you have had that was meaningful to you or that taught you something.

4.    Should cultural groups in this country try to “fit in” or “assimilate?” Why or why not?

5.    List all the cultures of which you are a member. Where are the areas where you feel conflict? Are there any of your cultures in which you do not feel comfort- able? Why? Are there particular issues or experiences about one of your own cultures that make you uncomfortable or embarrassed? What are they and why?

6.    In what cultures other than your own do you feel comfortable? Why?

7.    In what cultures (not your own) do you not feel comfortable? Why?
