Class Introductions [Discussion]

Each student should write one to two paragraphs to introduce herself/himself to our class.  You will need to post your own introduction before you can read other posts in the discussion board.   In addition, it is required that you respond to at least two other posts on the discussion board.

Below is my brief introduction to the class:

Hello everyone!  I am Eva Agbada.  Currently I serve two roles here at CCP: the first is as a full-time assistant professor in the Computer Technology Department and the second as a part-time professor in the Library Department.  My professional background is in Information Systems and in Library Information Science.  This spans over a decade of experience in higher education teaching computer and information literacy, computer applications, programming and web design.  I earned my Masters of Science degree in Information Systems as well as my Masters of Science degree in Library Information Science from Drexel University.  My undergraduate degrees are in Economics and French from Bryn Mawr College.

As you can tell, I love to learn and take advantage of opportunities to travel and learn as much as I can about the world around us.  I've traveled to about 30 different countries on 5 different continents and speak several languages.  I firmly believe in the value of education and the importance of developing both a love of learning and the ability to think critically.   As Malcolm X stated, “Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today.”
