JGR 100 Week 2 Discussion | Assignment Help | Strayer University
This Week's Discussion -
Self-Awareness
Self-awareness,
which is sometimes also referred to as self-knowledge or introspection, is
about understanding your own needs, desires, shortcomings, habits, and
everything else that makes you tick. Simply put, it just means to be “aware” of
the things that make you who you are. The more you know about yourself, the
better you are at adapting life's changes. Essentially, the more you pay
attention to your emotions and how you work, the better you will understand why
you do the things you do, your purpose.
In
the article “What Self-Awareness Really Is (and How to Cultivate it)” author
Tasha Eurich states that “Even though most people believe they are self-aware,
only 10-15% of the people we studied actually fit the criteria.” How would you
rate your level of self-awareness? Based on the suggestions from the article,
what are some ways that you can improve your self-awareness? Use content from
the article to support your response.
