In Unit 4 you explored responsible citizenship from a personal perspective.  As noted, responsible citizenship refers to being of service to others whether on a personal, local, national, or global level with ethical and socially responsible behavior also being characteristics of responsible citizenship.  Southwestern College (2016) also refers to “leadership through service in a world without boundaries” (para. 1) in its vision. 

Recognizing this common connection of service, in this unit, you will explore responsible citizenship from the perspectives of followership and leadership. 

Please discuss how does responsible citizenship manifest itself as you fulfill the role of a follower in your major field?  How does or will responsible citizenship manifest itself as you fulfill a leadership role in your major field?   Please explain in detail.
