This past week you should have been continued your exploration of analytic trigonometry. Sum and Difference identities are useful in simplifying expressions and double angle identities are helpful with word problems.

Just a quick check-

·         Are you accumulating a list of all identities for easy reference?

·         Can you use sum and difference identities to simplify expressions?

·         Are you able to use a double angle identity to simplify an expression?

·         Did you realize that co-function identities relate sine to cosine and tangent to cotangent?

·         Can you use a power reducing identity to eliminate powers from an expression?

·         Are you able to apply half angles to solve trigonometric equations?

For week 13 you will be looking at applications of trigonometry including the law of sines and cosines, and an introduction to vectors
