 Mission Statement
A Mission Statement is made up of the following components:
The Mission of ............................(The agency, city, organization etc.)
Is to provide.................................(A short summation of the services provided)  (WHAT)
To..................................................(Clients, citizens, customers, members etc.)    (TO WHOM)
In order for them to be able to....(provide a benefit or service to the recipient)   (WHY)
For your initial posting think of an organization (Red Cross, Boy Scouts, whatever) and  create a mission statement of your own for them. For your response take the mission statement of ONE of your group members and create a vision statement for that organization.

 Question 2. 
Identify a community of your choice and undertake a SWOTS analysis:
Identify 2 internal strengths and two internal weaknesses
Identify two external opportunities and two external threats.
 
Remember Internal threats (or scans) focus on:
• Resources
• Present strategy and business model
• Performance
 
External threats focus on:
• Forces and trends - political, economic, social and technological (PEST- )
• Clients and customers
• Competitors and collaborators
