Please continue working on the Course Project that was introduced in Module 2. This week you learned about up-counter and down-counter instructions. Most PLC systems also have a combined up/down counter instruction. LogixPro does not have an up/down counter instruction but one can be created by using an up-counter and a down-counter instruction with the same address. Create an up/down counter program in LogixPro and test for the functionality of the process. Please complete and submit your progress report in Canvas. Address any feedback or suggestions provided by your professor on your Module 3 progress report. Also include your up/down counter program for the project in your progress report.

MODULE 4 PROJECT VIDEOS:

For your Course Project you need to use a combination of timer and counter instructions. The output of a timer or counter instruction could affect or reset another timer/counter instruction. With a little practice and simulation, you should be able to program cascading timer or counter instructions. An example was provided in Lesson 3. The following video should also provide hints on how to use multiple timer/counter instructions in a program.
