5.6GROUP ASSIGNMENT:ANNOTATED RESEARCH BIBLIOGRAPHY
BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The group project should take the Bibliography and expand it into an Annotated Research Bibliography, which will be due in Workshop Five and will be helpful in creating your presentation.
An annotated Bibliographical entry should look similar to the following if the source is a book.  Please refer to APA manual for the citation format used for Journal Articles.

Japan. Honolulu: University of Hawaii Press.  (John Doe)

Minichiello traces the development of Japanese political thinking from the late Taisho era through the early Showa period.  Her purpose is to examine and explain why politicians who embraced Western liberal-democratic, egalitarian reforms in the late 1910s and 1920s turned to authoritarian and emperor-centered models of government in the 1930s as a response to internal and external crises.  Minichiello asserts that Nagai Ryutaro exemplifies this line of development, and as such uses him as a case study to show that most Japanese reformists welcomed any programs that would lead to liberation from Western domination, even if over time these programs were inconsistent.
The example above was taken from a doctoral student- paper, so the expectation is not that your entry should be as smooth, only that you have the basic elements expected which are: (1) identification information - including that of the project team member (John Doe in the entry above); (2) thesis of author; (3) relevant data for the project. 
INSTRUCTIONS

1.	Your bibliography should have the basic elements expected:  
a.	Identification information - including that of the project team member.
b.	Thesis of author.
c.	Relevant data for the project (at least two pieces of information relevant to the presentation). 
d.	The project team should combine all the individual entries in alpha order into one document and the individual entries should be identified with the team member- name for the purposes of grading the quality of the entry.
2.	Submit your paper using the Annotated Research Bibliography assignment tool by the end of the workshop.
