Is the United States a
Christian Nation?
We frequently hear this discussion about whether the United States was
or is a Christian nation. Many say yes while others point to the fact the
United States is not a Christian nation because of the 1,500 religions being
practiced today in the United States. But more importantly, what do you think?
Please take time to view the video, “Was America Founded to Be Secular? “
as a starting point for this discussion. Explicitly discuss the concepts
of religious pluralism, civil religion, and discrimination as covered in the
course material in your analysis, as well as information from the historical
material you discovered in your research on the Internet, including this
video. Please share your thoughts with a cited initial post (need to use
at least two sources) AND at least one substantive reply to a classmate or a
new question I pose when replying to you or your classmates. Be
