Module 3 Engagement Discussion Forum Topic 3 (of 3): Native Americans: Treatment Now and Then

 

Conduct some research on federal laws that have dealt with Native Americans. Briefly summarize at least ONE and showcase the impact of its enactment on Native Americans.  Also, consider how holidays like Independence Day, Columbus Day, and Thanksgiving Day remind Native Americans of their marginal status.  What do you think – should we do away with any of these holidays? All of them?  Why/why not?    Be sure to cite your sources properly in-text AND in an alphabetized reference list.
