This module’s discussion focuses on Program Outcome 5. Your discussion grade will be based on the quality of your postings. We are not looking for postings of excessive quantity with little substance, but rather postings that indicate to the instructor and other learners that you are thinking about the outcome Discussion question posting or other learner’s postings, and providing or offering input that adds value to the Discussion and to the Course for other learners! These Discussions serve as a means to help you reflect and to assist others in the course to gain information and reflect on areas they may not be thinking about.

Step 2: Perform Peer Review on your Fellow Students’ Learning Statements

Review the ITA Portfolio Guide, focus on ten key components listed in the How to Write Learning Statements section. These components are meant to help you develop learning statements that meet the expectations and requirements.

1.    Discuss the facts of the experience.

2.    Discuss how you relate your practices, expertise, and experiences to the program outcome.

3.    Discuss how you demonstrated your ability to link the coursework to the learning statement.

4.    Discuss your strengths and weaknesses of the event or experience.

5.    Discuss the quality of the experience and give insight and reason for judgment/decision making.

6.    Discuss your applicability to your experience and expertise.

7.    Identify opportunities for future development and improvement.

8.    How do you identify the strengths and weaknesses of the event or experience?

9.    What was the outcome? How was the outcome measured?

10. What is the evidence to support your statement?

You will perform a peer review, critically assessing how your fellow students have addressed 3 of the 10 key components. If a student has already performed peer review on the learning statements, do not use the same key components. Select three different key components to evaluate. Perform peer reviews following the criteria in the grading rubric. Be sure to address quality if writing including grammar and punctuation when providing feedback.
