Week 4-Homework

This week's homework is a bit more challenging than last week's. It requires you to listen to TWO podcasts about why so many employers had such a hard time finding workers following the Covid-19 pandemic. 

From restaurants to ski resorts, many organizations had a very hard time finding people to work after the pandemic restrictions were lifted. Things might be changing, as some of you pointed out in class, because international students can now work more than 20 hours per week, thus addressing the labour shortage. 

The question I would like you to engage with is: 

How important is it, for you, to have a job while you are going through university? How many hours do you work? Where do you work? Do you think it would be possible to not have a job while finishing school? If so, why? If not, why not? 

The strongest answers will draw from either (or both) of the podcasts. If there is a point that jumps out at at you from either of these, please mention it in your answer (e.g., "...as explained in the Washington Post podcast" or "...as discussed in the CBC podcast"). 

I am looking for your opinion, thoughts, insights, personal perspectives or lived experiences here. Your answers do not need to be long (< 300 words is fine). But it is the *analysis* piece that is the key here. I am NOT looking for a summary of the podcast. Instead, I want to hear what YOUR experience is and what YOU think.
