Instructions

I am looking for a lively and highly participative discussion of this unit's topic. Outstanding evidence of learning will be demonstrated by answering the question and fully discussing, challenging, and enhancing the discussion by your fellow students. 

Every student should respond to at least two other students' comments and answer the core question individually. I expect you to answer your selected question by using quotes and citations as appropriate.  If you have any questions about how to cite references, visit the Online Writing Lab (OWL).    Two references are required.  One can be the text and the 2^nd needs to be from a scholarly or reputable internet resource. 

Your answers need to contain information from the textbook and information from outside the textbook. This could include Power-Web, a website, or journal articles, short utube videos, etc. This means you need to cite what your source by using the APA style and that you have provided the reference/s at the end of the discussion question.

Don't just count words. Your answers should be thoughtful and thorough in content.  Each initial answer should be at least 300 words in length and the two peer reviews should contain 100 words each.

Question

Choose three sources of competitive advantage (cost, innovation, etc.). After you identify your sources of competitive advantage, identify the potential strategic performance drivers that are critical for realizing those sources of competitive advantage. How does how you manage employees affect your ability to achieve those strategic performance drivers?
