Game Show Contestant

A game show contestant is presented with three closed doors. Behind one of the three doors is a new car, behind the other two, five pounds of dirty socks. The contestant is asked to select one of the three doors. The game show host then opens one of the two unselected doors to reveal socks and gives the contestant the option of switching their choice to the other closed door. If you know the host will always reveal a losing door and will always give the option to switch, what is the best strategy for the contestant? Always switch, always stay with the first choice, or does it not matter?
