WEEK 6 DISCUSSION

PROMPT:

This week, you're working on your multimedia presentation--so let's combine what you've read with what you've been researching.

This may (probably will) require some speculation--just make sure you can support that speculation logically.

Using the area/field from your presentation and referring to this week's readings to support your claims, explain what you think the impact of digital technologies in medicine will have in the next decade.

If you're tired of the area from your presentation, just choose another.

As a reminder, those areas are education (elementary, secondary, or post-secondary), law, law enforcement, psychology, business, healthcare, construction, engineering, computer science, or any other professional field in which you might have an interest.

Alternatively, if you play sports or have a hobby you think will be impacted, you can use that as well. How will sports medicine work differently in the next ten years? How will physical therapy change? If you play American football or soccer, will we be treating concussions differently, for example?

We're looking for a diversity of ideas on how pervasive medical advances will be and how digital technologies will be instrumental in those advances.
