2.3 Assignment: Speech Outlining
Instructions
1.
Review the rubric to make sure you understand the criteria for
earning your grade.
2.
Review Chapter 9 with attention to pages 481-485 (in section 9.4
Outlining) of the textbook, as well as chapter
11.1 of the textbook.
3.
Prepare the Formal outline for your speech (illustrated on page
481-485).
4.
The Formal Outline should use outline sequencing and be fully
developed: it should have a complete introduction, body, and
conclusion, use fully developed sentences and transitions. Furthermore, be sure
to list your sources in a reference section at the conclusion of the outline.
5.
When you have completed your assignment, save a copy for
yourself and submit a copy to your instructor using the Assignment submission
page by the end of the workshop.
6.
NOTE: Use the example in the textbook for formatting - APA is
not necessary in this situation.
