Discussion Requirements:

Part 1

·         Video post is encouraged but not mandatory. Replies with audio/video recordings are suggested.

·         Respond in Spanish to the following question (see example below)

o    ¿Cómo te llamas? 

o    ¿Cuál es tu profesión?

o    ¿Dónde vives? 

Part 2

·         Write a minimum of 10 sentences in English.

·         Read the enclosed article on introductions in Spanish-speaking countries: GreetingsWeek1DP.pdf

·         Discuss any experience you have with such greetings and

o    How do your introduction customs compare with those in the reading.

o    Have you ever been in a situation where the introduction was culturally different than what you are used to? Was it uncomfortable?

o    Do you like/dislike other types of greetings that you have been exposed to? Why or why not?

·         Respond to two or more other individuals in English (replies should stimulate and encourage further discussion. You may ask questions to promote further discussion).
