After reading and reflecting upon the textbook reading and the information contained in the module resources, discuss at least one strategy to initiate patient involvement in the care that is provided in an acute-care facility, such as a hospital or same-day surgery.

Consider how you would measure the effectiveness of your strategy and some potential barriers to patient involvement. Also discuss any liability issues for the health team members or the organization if there is failure to involve the patient in her or his care.
