 Defining Persuasion 

Compare the definitions of persuasion presented in the Howell (1973) article and in Chapter 1 of the textbook. How has the definition of persuasion changed over the past forty years? Based on your comparative analysis, predict how the definition of persuasion will change in the next forty years.  

Your initial response should be 200 to 250 words in length. Please support your claims with examples from the text, required and recommended material, and/or scholarly articles.
